TRUST / PRIVACY · DRAFT REVIEWED 16 OCTOBER 2026

Your creative work
stays yours.

Information about the current local-first application design and the privacy characteristics of this website template.

Policy draft, not final legal notice: This page describes the current development build and the supplied website source. Before publishing it as an official privacy policy, the publisher must add their legal identity, support contact, effective date, and verify the final distributed product and hosting configuration.

Website information

The updated website has registration and account pages designed to communicate with a separate Cloudflare Worker. When activated, registration collects your name, country and verified email, with optional company, phone and marketing consent. The authentication service sets an HttpOnly, Secure session cookie on api.filmvoicestudio.com; it does not collect or upload your local audio/video projects. The contact form runs in your browser and opens your email application; it does not submit or store messages on this website. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical request information, including IP addresses and request logs, to provide and secure hosting. When email registration is enabled, verification messages are sent through Resend, which processes the recipient email address and one-time verification message to deliver that email. See Cloudflare’s privacy information for details. When you email FilmVoice Studio, your email provider and the developer’s receiving email provider also process the message.

Registration, security and deletion

Once enabled, registration is required only for direct downloads from this website. App Store customers may use core editing without registering. Passwordless email codes expire in 10 minutes, sessions expire after 14 days, and verification attempts are rate limited. Customer records are stored in Cloudflare D1 and installer files in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. Optional marketing consent is off by default. Registered customers can request account deletion from their account page or the Mac application. Deleted accounts and associated sessions and download authorizations are removed; local Mac projects remain under the user’s control. Expired authentication records are periodically cleaned. The publisher must confirm the precise retention periods, controller identity, lawful bases, support contact and jurisdictions before collecting real data.

How the current Mac application handles media

FilmVoice Studio processes imported audio/video and microphone recordings on your Mac. The application stores projects, recorded takes, and analysis results in a local library. Its interface and media service use the local loopback address. This implementation does not send imported media to a hosted analysis service.

Microphone access is used for recording and input monitoring when requested. macOS microphone permissions can be changed in System Settings.

Analysis engine downloads

The current development build installs some analysis software and model files separately. Those downloads come from third-party hosts, which can receive ordinary connection information during installation. Once installed, analysis is designed to run offline. Public-release packaging may change these requirements.

Deletion and exported files

Deleting a project moves its project document to macOS Trash so it may be restored. Shared media assets can remain in the app library to prevent disruption to other projects. Deletion is not a guarantee of secure erasure. Files you export or back up are managed separately by you.

Changes before launch

The publisher must review permissions, third-party components, licensing, crash reporting (if added), App Store privacy disclosures, and hosting logs for the final release. This document is a factual working draft and not a final legal policy. Before publication the individual developer must confirm the policy owner, contact email, retention practices, hosting service, third-party components, and disclosure accuracy. Update the published policy when the app or website changes.

Privacy contact: Not yet configured — must be provided before submission.
